Omg, Cover Conversation for Tidal by Amanda Hocking!!!

So yeah, I know that it has NOTHING to do with Christmas but I just have to share this with you guys! I was being nosy on GoodReads (gosh, I love that website) and I found this..............

Apparently, this is book 3 in the Watersong series. A totally awesometastic series, btw. If you haven't read the first one Wake then you totally need too!

Okay, onto the cover review and some information about it:

Book Title: TIDAL BY AMANDA HOCKING
Book Release Date: April 16, 2013 (i can't believe i have to wait 4 months!!!)
Book Cover Rating: @@@@@ (i can not believe how much I love this cover! I'm not usually one for men on the covers of my book-i don't know why it's just a quirk of mine-but this one is AMAZING!)

Back Blurb:

With Penn and Lexi determined to kill Gemma and replace her with another siren, Gemma's life is in grave danger...unless she can break the curse before it's too late. With the help of Harper and Daniel, she'll delve deep into her enemies' mythical past--and their darkest secrets. It's her only hope of saving everything she holds dear: her family, her life, and her relationship with Alex--the only guy she's ever loved.

Book Cover Review:

This. Is. Amazing. Words do not describe it. It. Is. Amazing.
K, so it's obvious that the two people on the cover are Daniel (by the tattoo on his back) and Harper (because she has dark hair and Gemma has light) unless of course the girl is Penn instead. That could complicate things. And what happened to Arista? She was in Wake so what happened to her between Wake and Tidal? What happened to her in Lullaby? (i guess i'll know after I read Lullaby when I get it for Christmas....:) I LOVE this cover! I cannot wait to get my hands on it! Amanda Hocking it's not right to keep me in suspense like this!! There should be a law against it! What do you guys think about it?

Okay, check out Wake's trailer:

And the 4 books in the Watersong trilogy:

Lullaby Cover Convo!

It's been like a really super duper long time since I last did a cover conversation, and I figured I would do one about Watersong #2, LULLABY!

Release Date: November 27, 2012

Back Blurb:

Harper only wanted a safe, normal life. But when her younger sister Gemma runs off with a dangerous clique of beautiful girls, Penn, Thea, and Lexi, everything changes. Vowing to get her sister back no matter what the cost, Harper must face dangers unlike any she's ever experienced. Fortunately, she has Daniel by her side, a gorgeous guy who's devoted to helping her find her sister—and who's immune to the girls' dark powers.

While Harper searches for her sister, Gemma struggles to adjust to her new life.  Gemma's powers are growing by the day, and the longer she lives with her new "sisters," the harder it is to resist entering their magical world.  It's a realm both dark and beautiful, and where she's plagued by strange hungers and unspeakable needs.  Just as she's drifting far away from her old life,  Harper and Daniel find her...but no one can deny how much she's changed.  All she wants is to return to her family and the mortal world, but how can she do that when she's become something else entirely—and will they still love her once they learn the truth?

My Cover Review:

Wow! This is just.....amazing! Lullaby is the 2nd book in the Watersong series. The first being Wake,

and I thought Wake was like the bestest cover ever. Until I saw Lullaby,

and then I had a new fav. book cover. I LOVE this cover! Amanda Hocking's graphic designer ROX! I love the *pop* her red dress gives the blue water. It makes her stand out. What do you guys think? Which one is better, Wake or Lullaby?

Cover Convo::The New Recruit by Jill Williamson

Okay, I know that it's not Tuesday but this was the only post I could think of to do for today so I'm discussing Jill Williamson's newest release: The New Recruit!

Release Date: September 1, 2012

Back Blurb:

Forced to choose between military school and a Christian spy organization, skeptic Spencer Garmond signs on with the Bible geeks. But before he even boards the plane for Moscow, Spencer realizes this is no Bible club.
These guys mean business.
Stumbling onto a case involving a gang of homeless boys, a chilling tattoo, and the always beautiful Anya Vseveloda, Spencer struggles to find the faith needed to save the Mission League from enemy infiltration.

My Thoughts on the cover:
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! I'm so excited! The cover it totally awesometastic! (that's a word you will hear a lot from me because i made it up and i'm very proud of it :) I can't wait to get my greedy little hands allllll over this book. Seriously cannot wait. I'm dying here. After reading Replication and the By Darkness Hid I am one of the biggest Jill Williamson fans ever! The cover promises tons of action and conspiracies. YAY! I mean who doesn't love a good conspiracy right? :D And I like the way it starts off dark colored at the top and shades down to white, that's pretty cool too. :P

Cover Convo-The Rise of Nine

Release Date: August 21, 2012

Whew! August is the exciting month! FOUR of the books I really really really want to read come out within days of each other! :) Today I'm talking about The Rise of Nine's cover (I Am Number Four Book #3) What at interesting title. Very attention grabbing. Very sinister sounding.... The Rise of Nine. Just let it roll of your tongue. (okay now I'm just sounding gross. Sorry) I'm not quite sure what the cover is supposed to be of. I think it's a Lorien number (guessing Number 9) but I'm not sure what number because for some strange reason I don't speak Lorien..... I hope all my answers are answered in this one because Pittacus Lore left a lot of unanswered questions in The Power of Six (have absolutely no idea what that cover is supposed to be....) and I hope he answers them all in The Rise of Nine. (Not to mention he stopped the book in the worst place possible!) I'm excited for the book but also a little wary. In the first two books Lore put in a lot of big embarrassing swear words. (Book 2 had fewer than Book 1, but still) I hope he won't do that with The Rise of Nine. And for some reason, as of right now, Alien Number 9 is my favorite. I'm not sure why. Maybe because he sound so awesome. :P So yes I'm excited for this book but be strongly cautioned: If you go to read I am Number Four be prepared for major swearing! But if you really must know, I am Number Four isn't the book it's chalked up to be. It was good. But not like super super super good. Ya know? It was no Hunger Games. Or Divergent. Or Maze Runner.

Heist Society Cover Convo!

I'm having an anxeity attack. I need the 3rd book in the series Heist Society (Perfect Scoundrels) NOW!!!

So I'm just going to have to make do with a cover conversation. :) It's been a long time since I've done one of these:

So I haven't reviewed any of the books in the series yet, but I will. I promise! :)
But here is the first cover and the its back blurb:

HEIST SOCIETY by ALLY CARTER

My Rating: @@@

When Katarina Bishop was three, her parents took her on a trip to the Louvre…to case it. For her seventh birthday, Katarina and her Uncle Eddie traveled to Austria…to steal the crown jewels. When Kat turned fifteen, she planned a con of her own—scamming her way into the best boarding school in the country, determined to leave the family business behind. Unfortunately, leaving “the life” for a normal life proves harder than she’d expected.

Soon, Kat's friend and former co-conspirator, Hale, appears out of nowhere to bring Kat back into the world she tried so hard to escape. But he has a good reason: a powerful mobster has been robbed of his priceless art collection and wants to retrieve it. Only a master thief could have pulled this job, and Kat's father isn't just on the suspect list, he is the list. Caught between Interpol and a far more deadly enemy, Kat’s dad needs her help.

For Kat, there is only one solution: track down the paintings and steal them back. So what if it's a spectacularly impossible job? She's got two weeks, a teenage crew, and hopefully just enough talent to pull off the biggest heist in her family's history--and, with any luck, steal her life back along the way.

And book two Uncommon Criminals:

UNCOMMON CRIMINALS by ALLY CARTER

My Rating: @@@@@

And Book Three!!! Perfect Scoundrels!

PERFECT SCOUNDRELS by ALLY CARTER

Release Date: February 5, 2013

Katarina Bishop and W.W. Hale the fifth were born to lead completely different lives: Kat comes from a long, proud line of loveable criminal masterminds, while Hale is the scion of one of the most seemingly perfect dynasties in the world. If their families have one thing in common, it’s that they both know how to stay under the radar while getting—or stealing—whatever they want.

No matter the risk, the Bishops can always be counted on, but in Hale’s family, all bets are off when money is on the line. When Hale unexpectedly inherits his grandmother’s billion dollar corporation, he quickly learns that there’s no place for Kat and their old heists in his new role. But Kat won’t let him go that easily, especially after she gets tipped off that his grandmother’s will might have been altered in an elaborate con to steal the company’s fortune. So instead of being the heir—this time, Hale might be the mark.

Forced to keep a level head as she and her crew fight for one of their own, Kat comes up with an ambitious and far-reaching plan that only the Bishop family would dare attempt. To pull it off, Kat is prepared to do the impossible, but first, she has to decide if she’s willing to save her boyfriend’s company if it means losing the boy.

My Thoughts:

*squeee*
Even though I have to wait a whole year for this book to come out at least I can drool over the cover right? ;) I love this cover! Although the girl's face looks so different than in Heist Society.  And her hair color seems to be a little off. hmmm. Anyway, it's no biggie. I'm just thrilled that there's a cover for it! :D Have you read these books? I'll review them soon. I promise! And who's profile is that in her glasses?

Avenger Cover Convo!

So coming out April 2013 is Heather Burch's new book (Halflings #3) AVENGER!!!! And o.m.g is the cover just amazing! (btw, Guardian got a new cover too check it out in the cover convo page) That has got to be the coolest shade of purple I have ever seen! Wow. :) And Nikki looks kick-butt baby! Oh yeah! :) She kind of reminds me of Black Widow in the Avengers. With the way she standing and all. So, Ms. Heather I have no idea who your cover designer is but he/she needs a raise because this is just amazing! I'm so excited to read this book!

And for a little refresher here's the first two covers in the series:

(Halflings: available now)

(and the new cover of Guardian: available October 2012. pre-order on Amazon today!)

And here 6 questions on Heather Burch's author interview:

1: How long have you been writing?

Forever, I think. I wrote my first story at about age six. My mom sent it into the newspaper and they printed it. But until I got the idea for Halflings, I wasn’t writing YA although my books seemed to always have teenagers in them.

2:Was there a specific message you wanted to get across in Halflings?

I wanted to write a story you couldn't put down. Halflings is all about sacrifice. The deeper the sacrifice, the more haunting the story. I've watched people make incredible sacrifices—life changing ones—and I’m humbled by that. Sacrifice is beautiful.

3:Who was your favorite character in the book?

Oh, that’s so hard to say. I can tell you this, I really have a soft spot for Vine. Everything he’s discovering in book one paves the way for his own story later on.

4: Who was the easiest to write?

Raven. Always Raven. He’s an author’s dream because he keeps things interesting and churned up.

5: Who was the hardest?

Mace. He’s so stoic and strong. Hard to find a lot of flaws with wonder boy. I love him. But he didn’t make my job easy.

6: Are you working on another book now? If so, would you like to tell us what it is about?

Book 2, Guardian, is complete and will release in October. I’m so excited to share the next installment of the Halflings Series. Book Three,Avenger, is also done and will release next spring.

Here’s a little about Guardian: The mission to safeguard Nikki Youngblood depends on the fragile alliance of two half-angel, half-human guardians, both struggling with intense feelings for the girl who has been assigned to their care. Mace, steadfast and deeply in love, wants to protect Nikki at all costs, while Raven's loyalty to Nikki finds him advocating for her independence and battling his own darker inclinations. At the same time, Nikki finds it harder and harder to choose between the two heavenly beings she may never have. Dangers intensify, and tensions between Mace and Raven flare as the purpose of their mission becomes clear. Can their defenses hold up to master manipulator Damon Vessler and the powerful secret he holds regarding Nikki's heritage? Can anyone protect Nikki from her true purpose and destiny?

Thank you guys for stopping by! :D

Cover Conversation #4: Guardian by Heather Burch

I got a message from Heather Burch asking to if I wanted to be an influencer for Guardian. This, of course, means that I get a copy of Guardian before it even comes out to the store. So in appreciation of this kindness, I decided to do a Cover Convo. for Guardian and Halflings. :)

Halflings' Cover:

This cover was eye catching. The dark sinister-looking woods in the background. The wings above her head. Yes, this cover definitely caught my eye. So I picked up the book and read it. I LOVED IT!!! Seriously, the only paranormal book that I enjoyed was Halflings. (Check out the review here: Halflings) So I immediately went to GoodReads and added Halflings #2 to my to-read shelf. This is the cover that I saw......(ready to see it?)........

Guardian's Release Date: October 2012

I have to wait 5 MORE MONTHS for this book!!! :O So not fair! So we still have the dark and sinister-looking trees, the wings above her head, but we now see the other two main characters: Mace & Raven. (Let me just say, for all you chicks who dig bad boys, Raven is the Bomb! Seriously, who cares about Gale Hawthorne from Hunger Games or Tobias from Divergent? Raven beats them all hands down.) And the main character Nikki looks more kick-butt than she does on the Halflings cover. Which I'm really happy about. :) And the tagline is making me bounce in my seat in anticipation! "They chose to protect her but forgot to guard their hearts." *squeeeeeeeeeeeeee* I'm hyper ventilating. October. Come. NOW! Please! *pathetic whimper* Please? So if you haven't gotten the point that I'm super excited to read this book and I just adored Halflings then you need to read the post again. : ) And as a parting statement: Go buy your copy of this spectacular christian paranormal romance novel: Halflings!

Cover Convo #3: Matched trilogy

I haven't reviewed any of this trilogy on my blog yet. But FYI the first two books were just astounding! : ) And because I loved them and their covers so much I'm doing a cover conversation about them!

Matched and Crossed are already released but
Reached Release Date: November 13, 2012! (I've been waiting over a year for this book)

This has to be my favorite trilogy book covers EVER coming after (The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner)! I love how it starts out with her trapped in the glass ball, then she's breaking out, and finally, she's all the way out and free. It gets the point of each book across very well. I'm guessing that in Reached she's finally free of the government because she's all the way out of the ball. I like the main colors. Green, Blue, and Red. Those colors have a special meaning. In the Society every citizen has to carry a container around containing these pills. They can only take them after an Official says so. SPOILER! The pills help brainwash the people.

Green pill = Green cover
Blue pill = Blue cover
Red pill? = Red cover

*i'm so excited for this book to come out!*  When this book finally comes out I will have been waiting for this book for over a YEAR!!! Gosh, I wish books could come out a lot sooner than that! So right now I'm stuck staring at this awesome cover. Btw, I really want the red dress Cassia's wearing! :) It's so pretty! And I seriously hope that Cassia and Ky get together. Xander can get together with that Indie girl. They match. I didn't care for Xander and I didn't care for Indie so yeah, them two can get together. And Ky is so sweet. Him and Cassia just click. Xander's seems to pushy and me me me. Did anyone else get that? Hopefully I'll put a book review up of Matched soon, ok? I just got to get it from the library first so I can read it again. ;)
*Fascinating Fact: In Matched the green dress Cassia is wearing on the cover played an important part in the book. In Crossed the blue overalls Cassia is wearing played a part in the the book too. So what's the red dress gonna do? :)

Cover Conversation #2: Insurgent by Veronica Roth

INSURGENT by VERONICA ROTH

Release Date: May 1, 2012

WOW!!!!  The book cover just keep getting better for this series! Here's the first one:

Do you agree with me? Divergent's cover was the bomb, but Insurgent's cover is just about AMAZING!!! This cover designer should be paid a LOT of money because they are awesome at their job! :O

Little Side Note here: Divergent means, "different from something else", Insurgent means,"someone who rebels against authority or leadership." Appropriate titles, huh?!

I love the colors on Insurgent better than Divergent too. And I'm guessing that Insurgent is dealing with Amity (the peaceful) because of the tree on the cover (the tree is Amity's symbol). And I know I'm really early with this cover conversation but I wanted to do it before Insurgent was released. :) If Ms. Roth gets 35,000 pre-orders she is releasing another book from Tobias's (Four's) perspective! *NOTE: I have no idea what is in this book! I do not know if it is clean or not!*

(psst! Be sure to check back tomorrow! I'm giving a hint on writing a good book! from reader..to writer :)

Nevermore's cover!

(I know it's not Tuesday. but i have karate early Tuesday morning. so lots of my cover conversations will be put up Monday afternoon or night)

Nevermore's Release Date: August 6, 2012!
It's our first cover conversation and the cover discussed today is Nevermore by James Patterson.

First of all this is NOT what I had in mind for the final Maximum Ride book. It doesn't even flow with the other covers. If that's supposed to be Max then I have no comment other than, "WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!" *facepalm* And if that's not supposed to be Max then who is it? Dylan's other perfect that takes Max's place? She shows up really late in the series! And what teenager either has or dyes they're hair white?
And second, this doesn't even look like a real person. It looks like a cover for a manga book. I think maybe Patterson's going a little bit crazy to pick this as his final cover.(not to mention he forgot his own release date) Still it's a cover and that means that the book is getting ready to come out! YAY!! : D
I just hope the book is better than its cover and it's back blurb. Trust me, the back blurb is horrible! It's maybe 6 lines and that just because Patterson
keeps
doing
this.
Do
you
get
the
picture
yet?

*Fascinating Fact: Did you know that Nevermore (Maximum Ride #8) was originally supposed to be released in February of 2012? It says so at the end of Angel (Maximum Ride #7) but Patterson must have forgotten about something because the book doesn't come out until 6 MONTHS LATER!*
