Author Interview and Giveaway!

We all love author interviews! :) With me today is Axel Avian. Let's see what he has to say about his book, Domino 29.

1: If you had the power to keep earth at one season for a year which season would it be?
Tough question! I would have to go with Summer though. For the beach.

2: If you were a Superhero what would your name be?
I think I would be The Amazing Dog Man.

3: If you were a superhero what would your theme song be?
Something Epic. Ride of the Valkyries most likely.

4: If you could be any ruler from the past who would you be?
Julius Caesar

5: If you could be any villian or rebel from a book who would you be and from what book?
Probably Richard the Third From Richard III. He is such an intelligent man on  overcame terrible odds to exact his revenge. Do plays count?

6: If you started a band what kind of songs would you sing and what would you call your band?
Rock. We would be called the Anti-Rose. (not that I don't like guns'n'roses music, I'm just not that chuffed to share a name with its lead singer.)

7: If you were a character in a book would you be the villian, the kick-butt hero, or the man/damsel in distress?
I'd hope to be the hero!

8: What was your inspiration to writing Domino 29?
I feel like there is a gap in the teen market for a contemporary role model with a traditional brand of honour. Colt is a highly principled young man in a very tough world. My hope is that he will always strive to do the right thing, even when it is incredibly hard and dangerous. In other words, I feel like Colt must have been brought up reading Rudyard Kipling's IF every night.

9: If the Domino 29 was made into a movie who would you want to play Colt and Talya?
I suppose for Talya, I would audition the girl from Modern Family (Sarah Hyland), or someone like a young Mila Kunis. For Colt a younger Colton Haynes or  Logan Lerman.

10: What would you want the movie's theme song to be?
Something like Super Massive Black Hole by Muse or What I Wouldn’t Give by Jake Miller

11: Are you planning to write another book? If so, can you tell us what it's going to be about?
I already am writing it for Spring 2014. I'm sending Colt out into the world again, into some currently topical places, where only youths may go. I won't say anymore than that just now.

12: Do you have any special sayings that inspire you?
You've got it on my mind now. I'd have to say the poem, IF, by Rudyard Kipling. particularly the final stanza:

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings---nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And---which is more---you'll be a Man, my son!
I suppose I would say this is something of my personal constitution.

That was an excellent interview Mr. Avian! Thank you very much.

C.J. Redwine Interview!!

Hello World! *big grin and goofy wave* Whew. I hope we survived the holidays well enough. (except for that random family member that made it their mission to try and wreck Christmas....Grr.) With me today is a totally fabulous author C.J. REDWINE!

Talking about her fantabulous book.........Dun Dun DA

Check out my review here:

And the trailer here:

And now onto the interview :)

1: What's your favorite candy?
Hot Tamales

2: Candy, Cake, or Cookies?
Cookies as long as they're homemade

3: If you were visited by a famous person what would you say to him/her?
Depends. If this is a regular famous person I'd say something like "Hey. Read any good books lately?" If this is Johnny Depp, I'd just make really awkward sounds and try hard not to fall on my face.

4: How would you solve world-hunger?
Make month-long service trips to third world countries or impoverished areas in the U.S. a mandatory requirement for high school graduation. If people SEE a need and experience it firsthand, it's awfully hard to walk away unchanged.

5: What is one job you would never want to do?
Masseuse. No really. I cannot touch strangers for a living. No.

6: If you got to meet a singer or actor/actress of you choice who would you pick?
Johnny Depp. Except then ... awkward noises and C.J. flat on her face.

7: What is one song you can relate to?
Ruins by Bebo Norman

8: What is your favorite store?
The closest bookstore!

9: What are your 5 favorite movies?
Just five? Ack! Okay, let's see. Harry Potter 8, Sherlock Holmes, Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, The Dark Knight, and Inception

10: If your book was made into a movie who would you choose to play the main characters?
Logan: Chris Pine
Rachel: Danielle Pannebaker
Commander: Either John Noble or Bill Nighy

11: What would you want the movie's theme song to be?
In This Moment's "Star-Crossed Wasteland" (live version) or E.S. Posthumous' "Unstoppable"

12: What was your inspiration to writing Defiance?
I'd had the idea of a fire-breathing Leviathon-like creature living underground in my head for a long time. One day I saw a picture of a fortress that reminded me of a city-state, and I wondered what would have to happen to drive us back to living in city-states again. That idea collided with the underground creatures and Defiance was born.

13: Which was the easiest character for you to write about?
Rachel. I can relate to how grief and pain broke her down and forged her into someone she barely recognized.

14: Tell us about the sequel to Defiance:
Deception continues the story of Logan and Rachel as they try to outwit one enemy, outrun another, and survive the betrayal of someone they were sure they could trust.

15: How many book are going to follow Defiance?
Defiance is the first book in a trilogy. Deception comes out 8/27/13. Book 3 will come out August '14.

16: What are some of your favorite sayings?
Bitterness is the poison you feed your enemy that ends up killing you.

The only way to truly fail is to quit.

Do or do not, there is no try.

-------------------------------------------
Thank you Ms. Redwine for AWESOME interview! And I love all the quotes in the last question by my favorite is the first one, "Bitterness is the poison you feed your enemy that ends up killing you." That is such a true statement! And now for the giveaway:

Author Interview (and Giveaway) with Anne Elizabeth Stengl!

Hello everyone! Today I got a super awesome author with me today and she was sooo good that I wanted to share her with you guys! So here's some pics of her books:

And the book of notice today:

Aren't these like AWESOME book covers?!?!?!? I LOVE them! :D

And now Blog readers meet Ms. Stengl, Ms. Stengl meet my wonderful blog readers.

1: If you had the power to keep earth at one season for a year which season would it be?
Ooooh, tough question. Either early spring or early fall. Both times of year are SO gorgeous, but I don't know if I can pick between budding flowers or colorful leaves! If you forced me to pick, probably early spring . . .

2: If you were a Superhero what would your name be?
The Amazing Cat Lady.
Which is lame.
How about the Stealth Cat? Less lame, but also less accurate. My big brother once told me I was as stealthy as a garbage truck. Something with "cat" in it though, because I am a major crazy cat lady.

3: If you were a superhero what would your theme song be?
Um . . . "Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats"? I'm trying to keep my cat theme here, but not sure if there are any good "superhero" cat songs.

4: If you could make one day last a week what would you do during that one day?
I would spend all day with my darling husband, Rohan! After sleeping in reeeeeeeeeeeeealllly late, we would get up and have a leisurely cup of tea (or five) together. We'd play with our various kitties, both our own pets and our rescue kittens. Then we'd take our doggie for a long, long walk. It would all be very relaxing! When we got home, we'd read a book aloud to each other. While he read to me, I would quilt or sketch. While I read to him, he would bake something delicious, like cheesecake or puff pastries.
As our long day drew toward evening, we'd dress up beautifully--him in a handsome suit, me in a twirly red dress--and we'd go downtown to listen to a live jazz band and dance the night away! My husband is a wonderful dancer . . . wonderful enough to make me look good. LOL. And we both love jazz music and the romantic standards of yesterday.
Or perhaps we'd go listen to an orchestra playing in a local park. If I could pick the music, it would be something by Edvard Grieg, my favorite composer, all on a soft spring evening. Maybe we'd meet some of our dearest friends, and all enjoy the music together, laughing and joking during intermissions.
Then home again to all the kitties, the long-suffering doggie, and another cup of tea before bed. And, of course, a nibble of whatever delicious something my husband baked!
Sigh . . . I like this little daydream.

5: If you could be any ruler from the past who would you be?
Probably Cleopatra. I suspect she had a lot of cats . . . :)

6: If you could be any villain or rebel from a book who would you be and from what book?
I think I would have to be the Queen of Attolia from Megan Whalen Turner's books. I look a little bit like how she's described (though neither tall nor mean enough), and she wears a lot of red, which I do love to wear. She's REALLY freaky, but as you read more of the books, you come to understand and even to love her. An amazing villain! I highly recommend those books.

7: If you could have any job in the world what would it be?
I really, really love the job I'm doing. I think I was born to be a storyteller!

8: If you started a band what kind of songs would you sing and what would you call your band?
I'd probably want to do romantic ballads with a hint of fairy tale themes in every song. Something that all lovers of fairy tales would enjoy, with violins and harps and flutes . . . and a piano, because that's all I know how to play! Heheh. We'd be called Dragon's Teeth. Or The Between. Or possibly even Iubdan's Beard.

9: If you were a character in a book would you be the villian, the kick-butt hero, or the man/damsel in distress?
How about a damsel who starts out distressed but grows into a kick-butt heroine? I like that idea. That, or I'd be the villain, because villains get all the best lines and the best clothes. It's just a fact.

10: What is your favorite food?
Tea and scones! I grew up in England, so I have some leftover British tastes.

11: What was your inspiration for writing Starflower?
It's actually a bit difficult to remember the initial inspiration. I conceived of this idea when I was seventeen years old, wrote various short-story versions of it, and shelved it until I was twenty-four. I believe Starflower's story was first inspired by the classic Maiden and Wolf motif that we see in Fairy Tales, most prominently, of course, in Little Red Riding Hood. This story is NOTHING like that fairy tale . . . and yet, it has a fairy tale flavor that is almost familiar. The Maiden and Wolf theme is such a part of our unconscious love of stories, who's to say where it originated?

12: If Starflower was made into a movie who would you want to play the main characters?
I would cast Shay Mitchell as Starflower herself. She has the exotic beauty and youthful charm for the part!

A young Jude Law would play Eanrin, with a nice mixture of charisma and arrogance!

Glomar of the guard would be played by Chris Hemsworth,

and Lady Gleamdren would be Amanda Seyfried, who has the perfect otherworldly impishness.

I can't think of good casting for everyone else . . . Who would you cast for the main characters?

13: What would you want the movie's theme song to be?
I asked my fans on my Facebook page to answer that, and got a bunch of wonderful answers. But I think my favorite was the suggestion made by young authoress Abigail Hartman--"The Never-Ending Road" by Loreena McKennitt. It's simply perfect for Starflower!

14: Tell us about the newest book.
The next book to release is Dragonwitch, coming summer 2013! This is its description:
Submissive to her father's will, Lady Leta of Aiven travels far to meet a prospective husband she neither knows nor loves--Lord Alistair, future king of the North Country.

But within the walls of Gaheris Castle, all is not right. Vicious night terrors plague Lord Alistair to the brink of insanity. Whispers rise from the family crypt. The reclusive castle Chronicler, Leta's tutor and friend, possesses a secret so dangerous it could cost his life and topple the North Country into civil war.

And far away in a hidden kingdom, a fire burns atop the Temple of the Sacred Flame. Acolytes and priestesses serve their goddess to the limits of their lives and deaths. No one is safe while the Dragonwitch searches for the sword that slew her twice...and for the one person who can wield it.

15: Are you working on another book? If you are would you like to tell us about it or would you like to keep it a secret?
I'm always working on another book! But at this point, I do have to keep it a secret . . . I'll be telling the world about it as soon as I can, of course!

Thank you for hosting me for this lovely interview, Brenna. I found some of these questions quite challenging and had to ask for fan suggestions! :)
------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank YOU for that interview it rocked!!! And I do believe I caught my mom staring at the picture of Jude Law for a little over 5 minutes with some drool dripping onto the desk.....jk! sort of. :) And now everyone needs to say a big thank you to Ms. Stengl because she's giving away a signed copy of Starflower and some Swag!! So can we say Thank you? :)

Here's the giveaway, Good Luck!

Andrew Klavan Author Interview!

I recently read Andrew Klavan's newest book, Crazy Dangerous,

and I loved it! So I wanted to take the time to find out more about one of my favorite authors. And then I decided I wanted you to know more about him too. So without further ado, I give to you Mr. Klavan's interview! :-D (oh! and check out my review for Crazy Dangerous here: Crazy Dangerous Review)

Q:           You’ve had many successes as a best-selling novelist and screenwriter.  What do you hope to bring to the young adult reading audience with books like this latest release?
A:            I like to tell stories that move like lightning—and I like to read stories like that too.  I love video games, love them, and it sometimes seems to me that younger people aren’t being offered books that are as fast and as thrilling and involving as those games. That’s too bad because when a high-octane story comes at you off the pages of a book, it’s different, it’s special—it’s almost magic, because it’s like it’s happening inside your head. You know the character’s thoughts. You get inside his imagination and his story gets into yours. No game or movie can do that—only a book. So I figured if I used the skills I learned in creating thrillers for adults, I’d be able to introduce younger people to a kind of exciting reading experience maybe they haven’t had before or haven’t had enough.

Q:           As a screenwriter, do you envision your fiction on the big screen someday?
A:            Well, look, it was a real thrill to see movies made out of my books. I mean, to have Clint Eastwood star in True Crime, Michael Douglas star in Don’t Say A Word—how cool is that? And, I’m really excited that the Summit Entertainment folks, who have had a ton of success with the Twilight films and Hurt Locker want to put The Homelanders series on the silver screen. But I’ve always been a book guy first and foremost. I love books and I love reading—so I don’t really think about the movies when I write. Sometimes, when a book is finished, sure, I’ll imagine about how it might look as a movie or which movie star might be in it. But while I’m actually writing the book, I never think about it at all. I try to pour all my energy into making the story and characters come alive on the page. Someday, a director and producer and screenwriter and actors may come together to produce their version of the story. But if you want to hear it first-hand, straight from the imagination that created the story, you have to read the book.

Q:           What kind of feedback have you had from readers about your young adult work?
A:            The thing I’ve heard repeatedly that I’m really, really pleased about is: I could never get my son—nephew—grandson—whatever—to read, but he can’t put this book down. I’ve heard it again and again and every time I hear it, I go into a room by myself, close the door, pump my fists and say, “Yes!”  …and then come out straight-faced as if nothing had happened.

Hope you guys enjoyed that interview as much as I did! :D Cya l8r g8r! ;)

The New Recruit--Review and Author Interview!

With me on this fine and fabulous day of October is YA author Jill Williamson! If you're wondering where you heard that name before just check out this link: Replication Review also Ms. Williamson can be found at her website http://www.jillwilliamson.com/ where she'll give you updates on events, book news, and she has awesome giveaways!!!

GIVE IT UP FOR..........MS. WILLIAMSON!!!! *people start clapping their hands and jumping up and down*

1: What are your 5 favorite songs?

I have so many favorite songs, there is no way to rank my top five. But here are five I really like:
1. Our God by Chris Tomlin
2. How to Save a Life by The Fray
3. By Your Side by Tenth Avenue North
4. Im Am by Nicole Nordeman
5. Shackles by Mary Mary

2: What is the worst movie of all time?
I'm sure there is a worse one, but what comes to mind is Eragon. Talk about a disapointment all around.

3: What is the worst song of all time?
Again, I'm sure there is something I hate more that this, but all that's coming to mind at the moment is "Macarena" by Los Del Rio. I never liked that song.

4: What is your earliest memory?
I remember going to pick blueberries in the woods with my family.

5: What was your favorite school subject?
Art.

6: What was you least favorite subject?
Math.

7: What is your favorite color?
Blue.

8: You're walking down the road and a big dog cuts you off, raises his hackles, and starts barking at you. You try to run but he bite's at your ankles. You have nothing to defend yourself except and empty water bottle, a squashed Skittle, and a stretchy sweat band. How do you get away?
I use the stretch band as a slingshot, shoot the dog with the Skittle, then run, and once I'm safe, I've got the water to quench my thirst.

9: What or Who was your inspiration to write The New Recruit?
This was the very first book I ever wrote. I pieced it together in a very backwards way. I was trying to write a story about teens going out into the world like missionaries, but since teen fiction books about missionaries weren't getting the attention of agents and editors, I thought, let's tweak the story and turn them into undercover agents.

10:  Tell us a little about your newest book.
Forced to choose between military school and a Christian spy organization, skeptic Spencer Garmond signs on with the Bible geeks. But before he even boards the plane for Moscow, Spencer realizes this is no Bible club.

These guys mean business.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And there you have it. Let's give a big round of applause and thanks for Ms. Williamson for visiting us today!

Here is my review for Ms. Williamson's newest book The New Recruit!!

THE NEW RECRUIT by JILL WILLIAMSON

Movie Rating: PG-13 for some sequences of peril
Book Rating: @@@@@
Swearing: None
Inappropriate Scenes: None
# of Pages: 399 (paperback)

Back Blurb:

Forced to choose between military school and a Christian spy organization, skeptic Spencer Garmond signs on with the Bible geeks. But before he even boards the
plane for Moscow, Spencer realizes this is no Bible club.

These guys mean business.

Stumbling onto a case involving a gang of homeless boys, a chilling tattoo, and the always beautiful Anya Vseveloda, Spencer struggles to find the faith needed to save
the Mission League from enemy infiltration.

My Review:

O-M-G! I'm so excited to finally have another Jill Williamson book in my greedy hands! :-) Let's just say I love love loved this book! It was sooooo good. (the editing mistakes were a little distracting but they didn't slow me down much)
I really enjoyed how most of the kids weren't holier-than-thou. I said most because Arianna was VERY holier-than-thou. I really could have slapped her a couple of times. She had to be my least favorite character of the whole book. Yeah, you can be proud of being saved but to be oh so holier-than-thou is just plain annoying and  I was totally on Spencer's side because I probably would have been the same way if I was Spencer. (most of the time)
This book was very intriguing  It put a very fun twist on being a Christian. I mean, I've never looked at being a Christian as becoming a spy and an agent for God but now that Ms. Williamson put that thought of Christianity out there I can see a lot of similarities.

Heather Burch Interview!!!

So what happens when you like a book? You talk about it over and over and over driving your mother, father, brother, and all faithful blog readers batty with it, right? Well, what happens when you like the book's author as much as you liked the book? You sing her praises to everyone you meet, tell everyone about her book, and yes, host her on your blog over and over and over. (But hopefully I'm not driving you batty because today she's back and better than ever! With all new interview questions and answers.)Please give a big roaring round of applause to welcome back the one and only..................
HEATHER BURCH!!!
(yes, confetti's falling from the sky, fireworks are booming, and the crowd can't stop cheering.)

" Thanks Brenna for asking me to stop by!"

1: What or Who was your inspiration to write the Halflings series?
The idea just came to me. Then, it wouldn’t let me rest. I thought about those winged teenagers day and night. So I started telling their story. And I still haven’t stopped. :)

2:  Tell us about your newest book Guardian?

Guardian releases in October and continues Nikki’s struggle to learn who she is. Dangers intensify and Nikki must use her ability as a seer or countless lives will be lost. Tempers flair between Mace and Raven causing Nikki to run from the very people keeping her alive. When she lands in the hands of the one man able to destroy her, she may pay for the mistake with her life.
As you know, Halflings ended on something of a cliff hanger. Guardian answers a lot of questions and there’s a HUGE reveal at the end. I absolutely can’t wait for people to read it. It was so much fun to write!

3: If the Halflings series was made into a movie who would you want to play Nikki, Mace, Raven, and Vine?
I recently got to meet Sierra Sable—the cover model for Halflings, Guardian and Avenger. She is super sweet and spending some time with her, I realized … she’d be a great Nikki. As far as the boys, wow. I don’t know. Their characters are so larger than life. Do you have any suggestions? Maybe people could comment with suggestions too. I’d love to know what everyone thinks!

4: What would you want the Halflings theme song to be?
Something haunting and cool, but a little bit sad. There’s an old song by Bad Company. It goes, “Seagull you fly across the horizon into the misty morning sun. Nobody asks you where you are going, nobody cares where you’re from.” It always makes me think of the Halflings.

5: Where do you get the ideas for your characters?
Mace and Raven are carbon copies of my two boys. One is an athlete and totally an in charge leader. The other is a free spirit musician. It’s funny because they are total opposites … and best friends.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay! Thank you so much for dealing with me again, Ms. Burch! :D Any suggestions for the smokin' hot bad-boy Raven? Or how about the quiet relaxed Mace? Tell me in the comments! I would love to hear them!

Also, Ms. Heather Burch will be at the Edison Mall, October 19, in Ft. Myers, Florida, signing her books!!!! Please be sure stop by if you are in the area and be sure get a book signed for me please!!! My address is....oh, never mind. I'll just have to wait until Ms. Burch comes to my state. Bummer I hate waiting.

And don't forget:

Check out my review for Halflings here: Review for Halflings

You can preorder Guardian here: Guardian

And you can get your totally wonderful copy of Halflings here: Halflings

Oh and Ms. Burch, if you're reading this: If Halflings is ever made into a movie could I be an extra? I don't want a big part I just want to meet Raven in person. *sighs dreamily*

Thanks again! Have a great weekend guys! :-P

Evan Angler Author Interview: Part 2!!

Onstage with me today for the second time, is super awesome author, Evan Angler!!! (But don't tell anyone because he's hiding and can't be found) With new and improved (well, not sure about that) questions! And I'm pretty sure Mr. Angler is super excited today because his second book, Sneak, released today! :O How cool is that? (Be sure to get your copy of this super duper awesome book!!!!!)

*Mr. Angler walks onstage and takes a bow. Fans go wild!*

So, Mr. Angler Question 1:

1: If you had the power to keep earth at one season for a year which season would it be?

Fall. I like the air in the fall—cooler at night, crisp and comfortable in the day, not too hot but not yet bitter or snowstormy. I like the colors of the leaves on the ground, and the promise of holidays around the corner...Fall reminds us that there’s beauty to be found in growing older. It’s the season of change, and change is good.

2: If you were a Superhero what would your name be?

Who says I’m not a Superhero?

3: If you were a superhero what would your theme song be?

I think I’d choose that old, pre-Unity theme song for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That song rocked pretty hard, and it was also singularly bizarre in a way that really does it for me.

4: If you could make one day last a week what would you do during that one day?

Honestly? I’d write.

5: If you could be any ruler from the past who would you be?

George Washington. Everyone liked George Washington.

6: If you could be any villain or rebel from a book who would you be and from what book?

Severus Snape, if only because I love so much to keep people guessing...

7: If you could have any job in the world what would it be?

Author. For me, there’s never been a choice.

8: If you started a band what kind of songs would you sing and what would you call your band?

Actually, I’ve been in several bands over the years. True story. That’s what made it so easy to write about Dane Harold’s band, the Boxing Gloves! But if I were to start a new band, I think we’d sing folk rock/bluegrass. Banjos, fiddles, guitars, four-part harmonies, catchy tunes, the works. And I’d call us The Sweepers, since all our fans would be Dust. :-)

9: If you were a character in a book would you be the villain, the kick-butt hero, or the man/damsel in distress?

I’d probably either be the hero or the villain. There can be a fine line between the two, and sometimes the only difference is who comes out on top. History, after all, is written by the winners...

10: What is your favorite food?

Chicken noodle soup. Who ever gets tired of chicken noodle soup? Bonus if it's hot.

11: What was your inspiration to writing the Swipe Series?

Nearly everything I read, experience, or discover inspires me in some way, and I suppose all of it finds a page in the Swipe Series sooner or later.

In terms of real-world events, a handful of pre-Unity developments leading up to the American Union were particularly hard to ignore: severe weather changes; growing cultural tension; widening inequality; rapid technological progress; worsening shortages of water, food, land, and oil; worldwide social unrest...it is important that we continue to write and to think about all of these challenges.

But most profoundly, it is the Dust's journey that has inspired me. Theirs is a story that tells itself, and I'm just doing my best to write it down as fast as I can in the hope that I can keep up.

There've been times when I've doubted myself. DOME is, after all, breathing heavily down the back of my neck. But every time I do, somehow some Unmarked friend makes his or her way into my life, and finds a way to keep me going. (If you'd like, you can read my profiles on these people here: http://www.evanangler.com/notes/)

12: If the Swipe Series was made into a movie who would you want to play Logan and Erin?

If any movies are ever made of the events described in the Swipe Series, my dream would be for Logan, Erin, and the Dust to portray themselves onscreen. But I’ve brought too much attention to them with these books as it is, so perhaps it would be best to bring in a cast of unknowns…

13: What would you want the movie's theme song to be?

I absolutely love the music used in the new trailer for SNEAK (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-8YiWa8p3M&feature=player_embedded) Maybe that could be our theme song!

14: Tell us about the newest book Sneak.

SNEAK will be available everywhere as of Tuesday, September 4th (http://www.thomasnelson.com/sneak.html), both in paperback and e-book. It begins one month after the end of SWIPE, with Logan very much on the run and still reeling after stirring up some pretty serious trouble with DOME. Markless everywhere are worse off than ever; the Dust is broken, hiding, and aimless; and Erin--Logan's best friend in the world--is dead set against him, determined to find him and turn him in. But Logan has a purpose now. He’s on a mission that’ll take him all the way across the American Union, and he's not about to let anything--or anyone--stop him. Along the way, he'll learn about a nationwide  network called the Unmarked River, and with the help of Markless everywhere, he'll delve deeper into DOME's secret plans than he ever thought possible.

At its heart, SNEAK is about the search for truth and the power of truth. Learning to question, to think for ourselves, to be honest about what's most important to us in our own lives, to take nothing for granted, and to believe in the power of our convictions...this is what Logan and his friends strive to do in SNEAK, and I hope these are some of the things that Dust everywhere will take away from reading this book.

15: Can you tell us about the next book in the Swipe Series? What will it be called and what is it about?
The third book in the Swipe Series is going to be a wild, wild ride with some breakneck twists, turns, and surprises. The stakes escalate very quickly given all that happens in SNEAK, and there isn't a single person in the A.U. who won't feel the consequences of that. I don’t want to get too ahead of myself, since very few people have even read SNEAK yet, but suffice to say we have much to look forward to in Book 3.

Great interview, Mr. Angler! You have withstood my prying questions, yet again. And still managed to keep your location secret!! Congratulations! :D But I'm looking over it and, not to put you on the spot here or anything, but um, you said in Question 10 that it's a bonus if the chicken noodle soup is hot. Do you really eat  it cold?! Anyway, to get the readers of this interview involved a little I'm going to give your guys some websites and such that you really need to check out and your opportunity to pretend that this is your interview! Just copy one of the above questions and paste it into the comment box, and then answer it!

Here's some websites to check out:

Okay, and now, I want to answer my own question.... :) I'm going to do Question 9: If you were a character in a book would you be the villain, the kick-butt hero, or the man/damsel in distress?

I would want to be the hero if I was good. Because like Mr. Angler said, It is difficult to tell the difference between a hero and a villain sometimes.

What question would you like to answer? Answer it in the comments!

Leah Cypess Author Interview/Giveaway!!!

I recently read a book titled Mistwood by Leah Cypress. As this book was the first I was reading about Shifters I wasn't sure I would like it very much. I was WRONG!!! I loved this book. So much, in fact, that I decided to do an author interview with this totally fabulous author----Leah Cypess!!

And here is her book Mistwood! The very first book in the Mistwood series:

Click this link to see my review: Mistwood Review

Here's the trailer.I'm not sure if it's fan made or not though:

And now here is the one and only........(roll drum, please)..............LEAH CYPESS!!!!

1: What's your favorite candy?

Lately I've been addicted to yummyearth brand "organic candy drops."
Organic means healthy, right?

2: Candy, Cake, or Cookies?

Cookies. Especially lemon sugar cookies.

3: If you were visited by a famous person what would you say to him/her?

Do you have the wrong address?

Seriously, though, it would depend a lot on who the famous person was.
And I'd want to do tons of research in advance before I knew he/she
was coming. And then I might ask if I could use them as a character in
a novel. ;)

4: How would solve world-hunger?

If I knew, I'd be doing that rather than writing fantasy books! But I
suspect my first goal would be to change the goal from "solving" world
hunger to "alleviating" it, because I don't think it can be
realistically solved - at least not with the way things are today -
but I do think there are many things that can be done to alleviate it.

5: What would you do if you were famous?

Wait, I'm not famous?

Again, I'm not sure. It would depend on what I was famous for and how
I could use my reputation to speak up for issues I believe in.

6: What is one job you would never want to do?

Waitress. Which is why I'll never become famous - I understand you
have to be a waitress first. ;)

8: What is one song you can relate to?

I can relate to a lot of songs! But one that always gets me is
"Dreams" by the Corrs. I'm not sure why, because if I had to break
down for you what exactly the lyrics mean, I couldn't do it. But
there's just this sense in the song about how complicated it is to
chase dreams, and to figure out what it means to be free. It speaks to
me more than the simplistic slogans we usually throw at people about
how you have to chase your dreams and how you can have it all. I'm not
saying you shouldn't chase your dreams or that you can't necessarily
have it at all, but I do think life usually makes things more
complicated than that.

10: What are you 5 favorite movies?

The Last Unicorn
The Matrix (only the first one!)
Castaway
The Usual Suspects
Rookie of the Year

11: If Mistwood was made into a movie who would choose to play Isabel and Rokan?

I submitted the first few chapters of Mistwood to a writer’s workshop
I was taking at the time, and one of my classmates said he thought it
should be made into a movie with Isabel played by Halle Berry. I could
live with that! As for Rokan, an author I know, Dee Garretson,
suggested Ben Barnes to play Rokan, and I think she's spot-on.

12: What would you want the movie's theme song to be?

"I Want to be Vapor" by Jennifer Paige.

15: Tell us about the sequel to Mistwood--Nightspell.

It's not really a sequel - it's a companion novel. It takes place on
the other side of the world, in a country where an ancient spell
allows murder victims to come back as ghosts and seek vengeance on
their killers. The main character is terrified of ghosts, but is
riding into the country anyhow to rescue her sister by offering
herself in marriage to the prince of this haunted country. But she
will find many surprises awaiting her in his castle... including a
certain manipulative and ruthless princess who previously appeared in
Mistwood.

16: Is there going to be another book to the Mistwood series?

My next book, currently titled Deathsworn
(http://www.goodreads.com/

book/show/13549218-deathsworn)

, is set in
the same world as Mistwood and Nightspell, but hundreds of years in
the future, with all new characters. I wouldn't call it part of a
series, but it is also a related book. (And it's a duology, so I
finally did find a story I couldn't tell in just one book!)

17: What are some of your favorite sayings?

I have a lot of those too. But here are 3 that are related to writing:

“Writing a novel is like driving a car at night. You can see only as
far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way.” —
E.L. Doctorow

“When you say something, make sure you have said it. The chances of
your having said it are only fair.” — E.B. White

The only way to write is well and how you do it is your own d**n
business.” — A.J. Liebling

...Thanks again!

Thank you Ms. Leah Cypess! That interview rocked!! :) (btw, Ben Barnes would be a perfect Rokan!!!!) And for those unlucky people who have not yet read this awesome book Ms. Cypess is giving away a hardcover copy of Mistwood! Here are the rules:
