Catching Fire logo

Hi guys! I'm back and I've got some news!!! :-) The Catching Fire movie logo has been released and I wanted to share it with you. (you might want to get used to Catching Fire posts because until the movie comes out I'll be writing about it a LOT, and then after the CF movie comes out it'll be Mockingjay Part 1 and then Mockingjay Part 2 and then it'll be over, sadly.) Okay so are you ready for it?

First I want to show you The Hunger Games logo:

And now I shall show you Catching Fire's logo (you ready for it? you might go blind by its total awesomtasticness :):

Isn't it awesome?!?!?

Also, for more info, pics, and giveaways you can follow the Hunger Games via Google +:

Also check out the Catching Fire movie website!

What do you guys think about it? Does it do Catching Fire justice?

OMG! Catching Fire's movie poster release.....

I was scanning the internet when I came upon a really awesome poster. What was the poster? It was the one (so far) and only: CATCHING FIRE MOVIE POSTER!!!! :O  And let me tell you....it looks fabulous! Check it out for yourself (just keep scrolling):

Isn't it just breath taking? And I love the way they showed the fire burning off the wedding dress and revealing the mockingjay dress underneath. :) And I think it's even better than The Hunger Games movie poster.

Oh, don't forget (like I would ever let you....) that Catching Fire's movie release date is: November 22, 2013

Monday, March 26, 2012

Oh. My. Gosh.

So, it's movie Monday and the movie that the whole world has been in an uproar to see was released March 23. Can you guess what it was? THE HUNGER GAMES!!!! I'm one of those lucky people that has awesome parents and they took me to see it the day it was released and here is my Movie Monday review.

The Hunger Games Movie Review

Movie Rating: PG-13 for violence gore and some language
Book Rating: 5/5 stars (if i could give this movie over 5 stars i would!)

My Review:
WOW! This movie was stupendous! It was AWESOME! When we pulled into the theater I got really nervous because I was the one that had talked my whole family into going to see this movie so if it was really super bad I was going to feel responsible for them throwing their $50 away to go watch this movie. That wasn't going to happen. This movie kicked butt! It is the bestest movie they have made based on a book. (except maybe The Lord of the Rings) For all you Gamians (big hunger games fans) that are scared about Hollywood ruining the movie don't worry about it. You will not be disappointed! There were some little itty-bitty differences but they were necessary changes. Effie Trinket played her part to perfection! She was just as I pictured her in the book. Same with Katniss, Gale, and Peeta. Actually, everyone in the movie was just as I pictured them! So my praisings are over (for now) and I can't wait for Catching Fire (November 22, 2013!)

Happy Hunger Games and May the Odds be Ever in Your Favor!

*Little Side Note here: The Hunger Games movie made #1 in the Top 10 Box Office Hits with a whopping $155 Million Dollars! (not surprised; people were lining up out in the parking lot at my theater to get inside to watch it)*

This Friday! :O

I know you've heard this a lot from me, but all you Hunger Games fans will understand that enough is just never enough. :) Anyway, the movie of notice that comes out this Friday is *gasps in excitement* THE HUNGER GAMES!!! *Duh-duhn-duh-da* Wooo-hoooo! :D :D :D :D :D  Tickets started selling February 20th (i think) and they just haven't stopped. Fascinating Fact: When The Hunger Games tickets went on sale February 20th it not only hit (and I think it beat) Twilight's record sales but also made 85% of the day's profits! How cool is that? So the theaters will probably be sold out for a couple of days. (I'm jealous of all you lucky people who already got your tickets...) So I probably won't be giving review on The Hunger Games movie until at least a week after it comes out. :( But I didn't want you guys to forget. :) So just a reminder, at 11 o'clock Thursday night they are releasing The Hunger Games movies in theaters. Don't miss it! The book was stupendous and the I'm pretty sure the movie will be too! :D Keep a watch on the countdown on the tab Everything HG on my blog. It has it down to the exact minute! hehehe (Comment below if you're a Hunger Games fan-I call them Gamians-you won't win anything but I'm just curious!)

The Hunger Games book review!

I know most of you have heard of The Hunger Games. Some less than others (my mom is one of those poor people that hear about it everyday from yours truly. poor lady) but here is my review for it:

THE HUNGER GAMES (the hunger games trilogy book 1) by SUZANNE COLLINS

Movie Rating: PG-13 for some kissing and violence and gore
Book Rating: @@@@@
Swearing: Maybe 2 instances of the h-word
Genre: Dystopian
Published By: Scholastic Press

Back Blurb:          In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12-18 to participate in the annual Hunger
Games, a fight to the death on live TV.
Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close the dead before--and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

Winning means fame and fortune.
Losing means certain death.
The Hunger Games have begun....

My Review:
The Hunger Games is one of the best teen trilogies I have ever read. A trilogy with very little swearing and no 'inappropriate scenes'! *gasps in shock* After reading The Hunger Games, author Suzanne Collins made it to my top 10 favorite authors list. Set in a future day North America the Capitol forces young kids to fight in a gruesome and horrible display of bloodshed and shows just what will happen if the government gets to much control  over the people. Most people read this and think, "What a gruesome book!", but if your family was starving (if you win you get a life-time supply of food), and bullies were trying to kill you just for the fun of it, would you not fight? To save my family's lives and my life I would kill just as fast as the other contestants. Some are more timid that others, but most are more blood-thirsty and only look at the Games as a chance to up their popularity back home. Would you survive?

TMB and MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR!

Check out the movie trailer! (movie coming March 23, 2012)

Movie Monday! 8D

Introducing the new and spectacular....................MOVIE MONDAY!!!!
What is movie Monday? Basically, Movie Monday is where I blog about a movie (and it's cast) that was based on a book I have read and you guys comment and tell me what you thought of the book, the movie/movie trailer (if it's out), the actors/actresses, etc., etc. **WARNING** Due to the fact that I am a movie fanatic (poor mom and dad) some of the movies are not out in theaters. But never fear! I check IMDb regularly so I'll post the approx. theater release date if I can find it. Understand? And, as always, THANKS for stopping by!

First, Movie Monday post:

The Hunger Games MOVIE!!!
Okay, so just to let you guys know I am a Hunger Games fanatic! (review coming later) Well, a little birdy told me that there's going to be movie coming out on March 23, 2012, based on, yep you guessed it, THE HUNGER GAMES! (actually it wasn't a little birdy it was really my fabulous friends on Good reads and, of course, IMDb) But, nevertheless, there is a Hunger Games movie coming out and guess who's going to go see it: moi. (if I repeatedly ask Mom and Dad to take me...) Anyway, if you keep reading to the end of this post you'll see the movie trailer for it. (I figured out how to do that all by myself) I think it's AWESOME, but don't take my word for it, judge for yourself and then comment to tell me what you thought of it! Now on to the cast: Katniss Everdeen is played by Jennifer Lawrence; Gale Hawthorn by Liam Hemsworth; Peeta Mellark by Josh Hutcherson; Haymitch Abernathy by Woody Harrelson; President Snow by Donald Sutherland. I personally don't know why all the girls swoon at the sight of Liam. He has the profile of a dragon and his face sags... I think they should have switched the actors playing  Gale and Peeta. :) This is going to be my first time watching Jennifer Lawrence act so I don't really have anything to say about her. Robert Downey Jr. would have been a spectacular Haymitch mainly because he's already got that crabby, sarcastic old man down pat but I'm interested in seeing how Woody Harrelson plays him. And Donald Sutherland (a.k.a President Snow) is a creepy old man! I'm not complaining because any movie based on The Hunger Games book is bound to be just down right SpEcTaCuLaR!(as long as Hollywood doesn't ruin if...) Right, guys?
What do you think?
