My Review:

            So many of you are probably reading the genre I have The Circle under and are thinking, “What the heck is Contemporary Fantasy?” I shall tell you. Contemporary Fantasy (yes, it’s title a came up with on very own…well maybe not, but I think I should get some credit for using it) is a book set in modern day times with a fantasy twist to it. Like Fairies. Like the Sidhe. Like The Circle. Contemporary Fantasy is a book that more than likely sparks the clichéd sentence, ‘They live among us’. Back to my review.

               What I liked:

I liked how Ms. Cipriano wrote that fairies live among us pretending to be human. I’ll never look at another person again without thinking, “Hmmm. Fairy or no?” (You think I’m kidding but seriously, there’s this person at our church…yeah, they might be a fairy. No joke, so don’t laugh.) The characters were all amazing, and I want to take this time to say a HUGE thank you to Ms. Cipriano for putting my name in her book. That was the first book I read with a character named Brenna in there and let me tell you, I was so tickled. :) And I loved how there was a middle graders romance in there. It was so funny reading about it and oh so true to life. And although, this book is being toted as a Middle Grade novel for Middle Grade readers, I know quite a few adults and teenagers that would love to read this book. So don’t judge a book by what age level it was written for because I promise, people of all ages will love this book!

What I did not like:

The CLIFF HANGER!!! Cliff hangers are my evil enemy. Now I’m dying for Book Two!

My Review:

     Before I write my review I have to give a shout out to one of my bff’s: “Thank you for the book! You know who you are and you are amazing!!!!! *hug*” (now that that is complete onto the review:)

      Picking up immediately where Legend left off, I recommend that you read Prodigy right after you finish Legend, otherwise it might take a while to be brought up to speed. (forgive my in advance if I ramble-this was book was really good and I plan on singing its praises for a while)

     This book was AMAZING! *cue awesome music* Prodigy not only continued the story of June and Day, but also delved into the back stories of key characters including: June, Day, Tess (by far the most interesting), Metias, and Thomas. Just when you think that you know all about these characters: BAM! Ms. Lu throws in a back story that leaves your head spinning so wildly you have to stop and put the book down just to digest this new information.

     I was not thrilled with Metias’ back story because I liked him in Legend and now I just can’t get past his back story. I will never think of him the same way again. Never and that really irritates me.

     Not only do you learn tons more about the characters but there’s also a conspiracy theory. (eek! I love conspiracies…) So you think you’ve got the book all figured out and again: BAM! Ms. Lu throws a wrench into your whole scheme. Bummah.

     Full of edge-of-the-seat action, heartbreaking romance, and emotional twists Prodigy is a book that will keep you reading till the cows come home. Don’t miss this exciting sequel to the renowned book: Legend.

My Review: 

I seen Starters at my bookstore. It sounded interesting. Really interesting. But I was leery about because it was a teen book and there's a lot of those that I don't want to read. So I got Starters from my library as a trial run. I LOVED this book! It was so good! Oh, and just so you don't think I like reading book with suggestive material, the suggestive material was just the Enders warning the Starters to not mess around when they were renting their bodies. Anyway, this was a really good book. Very interesting plot, very unique. With a big twist and a turn. :) Def. check this book out! I hope you like it as much as I did. Can't wait the sequel! :D
