The Easter Story

So, there will not be a book review this Friday either. Because Sunday is Easter Sunday. The day we celebrate Jesus arising from the dead, and I feel this is a story that needs to be on for a couple of days.

                                                  THE DEATH OF JESUS
And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof he would not drink. And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. And sitting down they watched him there; And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS KING OF THE JEWS. Matthew 27: 33-37      And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" That is to say, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Some of them that stood there, when they heard that said, "This man calleth for Elias." And straightaway one of them ram, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. The rest said, "Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him." Jesus when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. Matthew 27: 46-50
                                                     THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS
In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdelene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women,"Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you." And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples words. Matthew 28: 1-9____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hope in 2012?

Is there Hope in 2012? I know just about everyone has heard that the end of the world is December 2012. Right. If you haven't heard about it let me clue you in. Centuries ago the Mayan Indians 'prophesied' that the end of the world would occur in the year two thousand and twelve. This year. Alot of people are freaking out about it. How is the the world going to end? Will anyone survive? What will happen after the world ends? Stuff like that. Alot of people are freaking out because they don't want to die. Why are they freaking out? Answer: They don't have peace.  Do you have peace? If  not I can show you how to get peace. You need God. He is the only one who can give you eternal peace. I know what you're thinking. "There she goes. Preaching at me." or "I'm a good person I don't have to get saved because I haven't done anything wrong." or "I'll get saved when I'm old. No reason to get saved now only old people die."
God doesn't judge you according to your works and LOTS of people die before the age of 20 and I'm not preaching at you I'm warning you because I care about you. Here's how to have peace for EVER!

John 3:16--For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

(everlasting life! You'll live FOREVER! How cool is that?)

Romans 3:23--For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

(Everyone's sinned and NO ONE is good enough to get to Heaven without Him)

Romans 6:23--For the wages of sin is Death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

(If you're not saved you are going to Die. And go to a pit of fire and brimstone to burn forever)

Romans 5:8--But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

(Even though we have sinned against him, God still loves us and he will still save us.)

Romans 10:9-10&13-- That is thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

(Just believe and ask Him to save you! He'll do it, if you believe!)

Revelation 22:20--He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

(He is coming. Are you ready?)

Your answer will change your life. For better or for worse. It's your choice. Think about it.

Christ's Birth!

"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king has heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Govenor, that shall rule my people Israel. Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men and enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again that I may come and worship him also. When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over here the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh."
