FASINATING FACTS ABOUT CHRISTMAS or THAT HAVE TO DO WITH CHRISTMAS!

Did You Know (DYK) that to deliver all his gifts in one night, Santa would have to make 822.6 visits per SECOND. At that speed Santa and his reindeer would instantaneously burst into flames. (Bye, bye, Santa Claus!) :P
DYK that in the U.S. there are 78 people registered under the name S. Claus and one under Kris Kringle? (and you thought there was only 1 Santa. HA!)

DYK that Christmas is the biggest event of the year in America? (um, duh.)

DYK that the actual date of Christ's birth is unknown, so the early Christians chose December 25, probably to compete with the popular Roman festival Saturnalia? (Christian holiday vs. Roman festival)

DYK that electric tree lights were first used just 3 years after Edison had his first public demonstration of electric lights in 1879? (Cool!)

LIGHTBULB MOMENT: Think about it--why is it that kids are afraid of monsters under their beds but have no problem with grown men sneaking into their house (the tooth fairy, santa claus, etc.)? Does anyone else find that weird?
