Back Blurb:
Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate... until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.
The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between
the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.
My Review:
Okay, so I've talked a bit about Matched on here but I've never done a review on it. *facepalm* My bad. Those rumors who hear about Matched being really slow at the beginning are true. In fact, I was really considering putting it down, but I guess I really wanted to love this book so I just kept reading. I'm so glad I did. I'm now a permanent Matched fan! : ) Matched is a book that I will read over and over and over. It has been compared to Lois Lowry's book, The Giver, I personally thought it was 10x better than The Giver even though I did enjoy The Giver. Matched has the romantic aspect to it that The Giver didn't have. I'm not usually a romance reader but I made an exception for Matched and Crossed and I'll make an exception for Reached too! : ) I am now a permanent Matched fan! Don't miss out on this book if you like Dystopian books like The Giver!
